2. Installing 2-Bay NAS

2.1 Installing Hard Drive(s)

This section provides instructions on how to properly install a hard drive into the NAS device.

WARNING:

The 2-Bay NAS is not hot-swappable. Please make sure that it is turned off and not connected to the power outlet when performing the following assembly procedure.

Step 1 Make sure the front panel is unlocked.

Step 2 Slide the front panel up and then pull it off to access the drive bays.

Step 3 Insert a 3.5” SATA hard disk drive into the available drive bay until it is firmly connected to the SATA slot on the NAS. You can use the eject lever(s) to eject the installed hard disk(s). The front panel must be removed before ejecting the hard disk drive(s).
