System Error Codes & Troubleshooting

This section provides an overview of the most common error codes that may appear on an Octaire Control Panel. The table below lists the error code, the name of the code, the meaning of the code, and some basic troubleshooting strategies (additional troubleshooting strategies are included on page 65). The codes in the table are not intended to be comprehensive. If an error code appears that is not listed, note the specific number and contact technical support (see page 31).

The first letter of the error code indicates the following: E = Error

W = Warning

A = Alarm* (requires immediate attention) I = Information*

* Because these codes very rarely appear, they are not included in the table.

For the following instructions, use HyperTerminal on an external controller (see page 25).

To enable error code reporting:

1.Enter $ERR=1!

System responds with V

Note: If the power is cycled, you will need to enable error code reporting again.

To turn off error code reporting:

1.Enter $ERR=0!
