Ethernet 1  The Switch’s first RJ-45 port supports the IEEE 802.3af Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) PD standard that enables DC power to be supplied to the Switch using wires in the connecting twistedpair cable. Any 802.3af-compliant Power over Ethernet device attached to the port can directly supply power to the Switch over the twisted-pair cable without requiring its own separate power source.

To connect a device to a port, you will need to use Category 5e (or better) network cable.

Ethernet 1-5 or 1-8  These RJ-45 ports support network speeds of either 10Mbps, 100Mbps, or 1000Mbps and can operate in half and fullduplex modes. Auto-sensing technology enables each port to automatically detect the speed of the device connected to it and adjust its speed and duplex accordingly.
