Network Setup – WAN Interface Setup

2. WAN Interface Settings: The router supports 5 modes of WAN

connection, including Dynamic IP (DHCP), Static IP (Fixed), PPPoE, PPTP,

and L2TP. You may need to confirm with your ISP before selecting your

connecting modes.

• Dynamic IP (DHCP): L600N automatically obtains IP address, subnet

mask, and IP address of the gateway from the ISP.

• Static IP (Fixed): Select this If the ISP provides the IP address, subnet mask, and information about the gateway and DNS server. You may need to obtain the information from your ISP.

• PPPoE: Select this If your ISP provides dialup for user name and password. DSL connection usually falls under here.

• PPTP: This is a method for implementing virtual private networks. You will also need User Name and Password for this mode. Most VPN

connection falls here.

• L2TP: This is a method for implementing virtual private networks. You will also need User Name and Password for this mode. Most VPN connection falls here.
