DHCP

Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is most used on LAN to manage IP on each host, specifically used on Virtual IP environment. In DHCP Server mode, this router automatically assign IP settings to a workstation on your LAN.

ŒGeneric Configure DHCP mode and related parameters in the router.

1.DHCP Mode: Click Disable to turn off the DHCP service or select Server/Client.

Server Mode:

If you select Server, for small home LANs it might be interesting to configure all you PCs as DHCP Clients and the A400A as DHCP Server. In this configuration each time a computer boots, it will obtain its IP configuration from the A400A.
