Routing Protocol (RIP)

RIP sends routing-update messages at regular intervals and when the network topology changes. When a router receives a routing update that includes changes to an entry, it updates its routing table to reflect the new route. RIP routers maintain only the best route (the route with the lowest metric value) to a destination.

ŒStatic Route You can set up static route table for some fixed domain address path.

1.Network: Specify the destination host.

2.Netmask: Specify a subnet mask value to be associated with this route entry.

The subnet mask specifies which bits of the 32-bit binary IP address represent network information. Most sites should use 255.255.255.0 for their subnet mask.

3.Gateway: Use the Gateway Address field to specify the IP address of the default IP gateway.

4.Click Add button to save information. The configuration page adds a new row to show this setting. You can click Delete button to delete a chosen setting. Or you can click Replace button to replace original setting.

5.Click the OK button to store your modified configuration in this ADSL router memory. Or click Cancel button to return to main page.
