DESCRIPTION

This cable lets you test the MT56DSU-S when a second DSU is not available. When the DSU generates a signal, this cable “loops” the signal back to the DSU for comparison to the original signal sent. You can order this cable (#45640100) from Multi-Tech, or build one using the instructions below. Refer to Chapter 4 for test procedures.

BUILD INSTRUCTIONS

1.Strip cable insulation 3/4"

2.Cut wires 3, 4, 5, 6 off.

3.Strip wires 1, 2, 7, 8 1/4"

4.Solder wires 1 and 8 together.

5.Solder wires 2 and 7 together.

6.Cover solder connections with 1" of shrink tube.
