Port Classification

The level of importance of the port. Ports are

 

classified as follows:

 

Backbone - device or switch connections (most

 

important).

 

Valuable - servers or critical users (less

 

important).

 

Regular - normal users (least important).

page 36 of The Reference Guide.

 

 

Port Functionality

The physical media type of the selected port. If the

 

port conforms to a certain standard (Repeater,

 

Transceiver, 10BaseT, etc.), this standard is

 

displayed. If the port does not conform to any

 

standard, Private is displayed.
