4 Advanced Applications

Policy

Access Policies for particular PCs, which are identified by their

 

 

IP or MAC addresses. For each policy designated PCs, during

 

 

the days and time periods specified, only PCs listed on the list

 

 

will be enabled/disabled at the policy.

 

Blocked

You may choose to block access to certain services. Click

Add/Edit Services to modify these settings.

 

Website

You can block access to certain websites by entering their URL.

Keyword

 

 

This feature allows you to restrict user access to specific web sites. To block a site, you can enter either a complete URL (Internet address) or keywords included in the URL.

3.9.2 Firewall

The settings page allows you to configure Firewall functions, providing superior security for your network environment.

Firewall Enabling this function will prevent DoS (Denial of Service) Protection: attacks and activates the SPI (Stateful Packet Inspection).

The SPI function will check any incoming data packets, particularly whenever there is a TCP connection initiated by your LAN PCs.
