DVD Operation Setup

DVD Operational Overview

This manual gives basic instructions for operating the DVD/VCR Receiver. Some DVDs require specific opera- tion or allow only limited operation during playback. When this occurs, the symbol appears on the TV screen, indicating that the operation is not permitted by the DVD/VCR Receiver or is not available on the disc.

On-Screen Display

General playback status can be displayed on the TV screen. Some options can be changed on the menu.

On-screen display operation

1 Press DISPLAY during playback.

2 Use 3/4 to select a menu option. The selected option will be highlighted.

DVD

3 Use 1/2 to change the setting of the menu option.

The number buttons can be also be used for setting numbers (e.g., title number). For some functions, press MEMORY/ENTER to execute the setting.

If no button is pressed for 10 seconds, the on-screen display disappears.

Selection Method

Shows the current title number and total number of

titles, and skips to the desired title number.

MEMORY/ENTER

Shows the current chapter number and total number of

1 / 2, or Numbers,

chapters, and skips to the desired chapter number.

MEMORY/ENTER

Shows the elapsed playing time, and

Numbers,

searches the point directly from the elapsed time.

MEMORY/ENTER

Shows the current audio soundtrack language,

1 / 2, or

encoding method, and channel number, and

AUDIO

changes the setting.

 

Shows the current subtitles language, and

1 / 2, or

changes the setting.

SUBTITLE

Shows the current angle number and total number of

1 / 2, or

angles, and changes the angle number.

ANGLE

 

Shows the current sound mode, and

1 / 2, or

changes the setting.
