Transparent mode installation
This chapter describes how to install a FortiGate unit in Transparent mode. If you want to install the FortiGate unit in NAT/Route mode, see “NAT/Route mode installation” on page 27. Preparing to configure Transparent mode
Use Table 9 to gather the information that you need to customize Transparent mode settings.
You can configure Transparent mode using four methods:
•the
•front control buttons and LCD
•command line interface (CLI)
•setup wizard
The method you choose depends on the complexity of the configuration, access and equipment, and the type of interface you are most comfortable using.
