Wireless LAN Access Point Configuration

3.2.2 Channel and ESSID

You can set parameters that are used for the wireless stations to connect to this Access Point. The parameters include ESSID, Transmission Rate, Basic Rate and Channel.

Parameter	Description
ESSID	The ESSID (up to 32 printable ASCII characters) is the unique name
	identified in a WLAN. The ID prevents the unintentional merging of two
	co-located WLANs. Please make sure that the ESSID of all stations in
	the network are the same. The default ESSID is “default”.
Transmission Rate	The highest data transmission speed supports by the Access Point. If
	Fully Automatic is selected, the Access Point will automatically select
	the optimum rate allowed in the environment.
