In deze handleiding staat alle informatie die U nodig heeft on de Arcam CD192 CD-speler te installeren, aan te sluiten, in te stellen en te gebruiken. De meegeleverde afstandsbediening CR314 wordt ook beschreven, daar de CD-speler hiermee bediend kan worden.

D/A omzetter

De CD192 omvat de recentste opwaarderingssampling technologie om het 44.1KHz datasignaal van de

CD te converteren naar een hoge precisie 192KHz signaal. Hiervoor wordt een Analog Devices AD 1896 bemonsteringsratio omzetter gebruikt.

Het 192KHz audio-datasignaal wordt geconverteerd naar een analoge vorm door middel van viervoudige Wolfson Micro WM 8740 24-bit stereo DAC’s. De linker en rechter uitgangskanalen komen tot stand door middel van twee stereo DAC chips per kanaal. Beide werken in tweevoudige mono configuratiemode per kanaal. De vier resulterende monosignalen (twee per kanaal) worden samengevoegd om het dynamisch bereik, de lineariteit en dus ook de vervorming te verbeteren.

Dankzij de hogere bemonsteringratio’s, snijden de digitale filters minder agressief af dan de standaard DAC’s. Bovendien hebben de analoge filters een grotere bandbreedte wat de fasevervorming vermindert en dit vooral in de hoge frequenties.
