1. Remove the computer cover.

CAUTION If you are unsure about how to open your computer, please refer to the user’s manuals that came with your system. M

Lay the Mini Tower G3 on its side, press the latch button, lift the cover panel up a few inches, and lift it off.

On the Desktop G3, remove the holding screw, press the security bar in the center, then press the release latches on each side and slide the cover forward, as shown in the graphic.

The Power Mac All-in-one G3 has four screws on the back of the computer that must be removed.

Lay tower on its side

Latch Button

Lift cover up and off

DESKTOP G3

Remove 4 screws

Pull out logic board tray

Remove screw,

press the security bar

then press the Release Buttons
