Components of the Watcher window

The window has three areas that display messages and icons: the Connection Status Area (page 27), Call Status Area (page 28), and Indicator Area (page 29). These areas are shown in Figure 6‐1 that follows.

A menu bar is located on the upper left side of the window.

Windows control buttons are in the top right corner.

Window controls

The Minimize button closes the Watcher window but leaves the application running. When Watcher is minimized, you can use the Watcher icon in the system tray to determine the AirCard USB modem status. (See page 29.) This icon replaces a taskbar button for Watcher.

Once minimized, you can redisplay the Watcher window by selecting the Watcher icon in the system tray. You can also restore the window by double‐clicking the desktop shortcut or launching Watcher from the Start menu.
