Configuring G-SPEED eS Pro

Change the RAID Mode

The G-SPEED eS Pro/ATTO R680 RAID controller combination is configured at the factory in RAID 0 mode. RAID 1, 5, 6, 10 and JBOD modes are available and the ATTO ConfigTool is used to change the mode of operation.

NOTE: There are Mac OS X RAID configuration scripts available that will quickly recon- figure your G-SPEED eS Pro units in RAID 0, RAID 5 or RAID 6. See RAID Configuration Scripts for Mac for more information.

Steps to Change from RAID 0 to RAID 5

1.Unmount G-SPEED eS Pro by dragging the icon to the trash. (Keyboard shortcut: Command+E.)

2.Launch the ATTO ConfigTool as explained in the previous section, Use the ATTO Config- Tool.

3.Select the RAID tab, and in the lower pane, right-click on the G-SPEED eS Pro RAID group. From the dropdown menu, select ‘Delete Group’.
