12 Replacing the Battery

Procedure

1Align the screw holes on the battery with the screw holes on the computer base.

2Replace the screws that secure the battery to the computer base.

Postrequisites

1Replace the palm-rest assembly. 

See "Replacing the Palm-Rest Assembly" on page 29.

2Replace the keyboard. See "Replacing the Keyboard" on page 23.

3Replace the optical drive.

See "Replacing the Optical-Drive Assembly" on page 17.

4Follow the instructions from step 3 to step 4 in "Replacing the Memory Module(s)" on page 13.

5Follow the instructions in "After Working Inside Your Computer" on page 9.
