13 Removing the Hard Drive

CAUTION: To avoid data loss, do not remove the hard drive while the computer is in Sleep or On state.

CAUTION: Hard drives are extremely fragile. Exercise care when handling the hard drive.

Prerequisites

1Follow the instructions from step 1 to step 3 in "Removing the Memory Module(s)" on page 11.

2Remove the optical drive. 

4Remove the palm-rest assembly. 
