Replacing the Coin-Cell Battery

Procedure

Insert the battery (CR2032) into the socket with the side labeled "+" facing up, and press down the battery in the socket.

Postrequisites

1Replace the computer cover. See "Replacing the Computer Cover" on page 19.

2Follow the instructions in "After Working Inside Your Computer" on page 11.

3Enter the system setup program and set the time and date. See "Entering System Setup" on page 91.

4Update the BIOS settings with values you may have noted before removing the coin-cell battery. See "Entering System Setup" on page 91.
