Installing the Video-Card Heat Sink

1.Replace the video-card heat sink in its slot.

2.Tighten the captive screws to secure the video-card heat sink to the computer.

3.Route and connect the antenna cables.

4.Install the:

a)heat sink

b)heat-sink fan

c)palm rest

d)hard drive

e)optical drive

f)keyboard

g)keyboard trim

h)base cover

i)battery

5.Follow the procedures in After Working Inside Your Computer.

Removing the Video Card

1.Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer.

2.Remove the:

a)battery

b)base cover

c)keyboard trim

d)keyboard

e)optical drive

f)hard drive

g)palm rest

h)video fan

i)video heat sink

3.Perform the following steps as shown in the illustration:

a)Remove the screws that secure the video card to the computer.

b)Remove the video card from the computer.
