f.Shutdown Windows and turn off the node.
3.Add the switches, if needed, and the additional servers to the SAN switch fabric.
4.Configure the hardware according to the Dell PowerEdge Cluster FE100/FL100 Installation and Troubleshooting Guide and the storage system according to the PowerVault storage system documentation.
5.Calculate the Execution Throttle value and change the Execution Throttle value in the NVRAM for each HBA. Ensure that the sum of all of these values does not exceed 250 and that each value does not exceed 90.
See the PowerVault system documentation for instructions for calculating and changing the Execution Throttle value.
6.Disconnect only the cables attached to the PowerVault 65xF storage system.
7.Perform the following steps on each additional server:
a.Install Windows NT Server 4.0, Enterprise Edition with Service Pack 6a or later, or Windows 2000 Advanced Server with the latest supported service pack. See the Dell PowerEdge Cluster FE100/FL100 Platform Guide for infor- mation on the supported service packs.
b.Install the QLogic driver.
c.Install the QLogic Fibre Channel configuration utility.
See “Installing the QLogic Fibre Channel Configuration Utility,” found earlier in this document, for information on installing QLConfig.
d.Install the Dell OpenManage ATF and reboot the server.
e.Install Dell OpenManage Storage Consolidation software (StorageC) for a cluster environment. During the installation, check Yes in response to the question Will this server be used in a Microsoft Cluster Server environment?
f.Shut down Windows and turn off the server.
