Front Panel Components - 8000 Series

Optical Drives

Depending on your computer model, this may be a

 

 

CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD-ROM, or DVD-R/RW drive.

Optical Drive Activity

When lit, indicates that the optical drive is being

Diskette Drive Activity

When lit, indicates the diskette drive is being accessed.

 

Light

(Do not remove the diskette while the light is on.)

Power Button

Turns on the computer. To turn off the computer, use

 

 

the operating system “Turn Off Computer” command.

Power-On Light

When lit, indicates the power is on.

1394 Port (available on

Connects digital video equipment and allows fast data

Connects USB peripheral devices, such as gamepads,
