5 System utilities

LANDesk System Manager

LANDesk System Manager allows desktop management via the Web, standard network or dial-up connections. It is compatible with leading management specifications, such as Wired for Management 2.0, Desktop Management Interface (DMI) v2.0 and others.

Your computer may be bundled with a LANDesk System Manager installation CD. To install LANDesk System Manager:

1 Insert the LANDesk System Manager installation CD into the optical drive.

Caution! Make sure that the LANDesk System Manager installation CD is properly inserted into the optical drive. Improper insertion may damage both the CD and the drive. See "Optical drive" on page 20 for more instructions.

2 Follow all onscreen instructions until installation is completed.

For more information on how to use the LANDesk System Manager, you may refer to the LANDesk System Manager Help menu.

Note: LANDesk System Manager currently supports Windows 2000 and Windows XP platforms.
