About the modem
My modem (PC card) doesn’t work
Check that your PC card is properly inserted into your computer (label side facing up).
Check that your PC card modem has been detected by the system. | |
Check that the phone line is plugged into your PC card. | |
Check that the phone line is working. You can check the line by plugging in an | |
ordinary phone and listening for a dial tone. | |
Check that the phone number the program is dialing is correct. | |
Check that the communication software you are using is compatible with the PC | |
card: make sure that the driver selected in your communication software matches | |
your PC card programming (refer to your communication software user manual). | |
