Customizing Your Power Settings

1.Click Start → Control Panel.

2.Click All Control Panel Items.

3.Double-click the Power Options icon.

4.Select a power plan from the options shown. To customize specific settings, click Change plan settings next to the selected power plan.

Reducing Power Consumption

Although your laptop (together with the operating system) is capable of power conservation, there are measures you can take to reduce the power consumption:

• Lower the intensity of the display backlight. A very bright screen translates to higher power usage.

• Use the Go Dark option in the Alienware Command Center.
