Setup Procedures

Install the CD Writing Software

Before connecting the CRW2200IX drive and the computer as described below, make sure that you have installed appropriate CD writing software (P. 5). If you use Windows and if the CD writing software is newly installed, first disconnect all IEEE1394 devices from your computer. After properly installing the software, you can connect the CRW2200IX drive. For information about how to install the software, refer to the documentation that came with it.

Set Up the CRW2200IX Drive

If your computer has no built-in IEEE1394 port, you will first need to install an IEEE1394 interface card (purchased separately). For information about how to install the card, refer to the documentation that came with it.

1Turn on the computer.

2Make sure that the power switch on the rear panel of the CRW2200IX drive is set to STANDBY.

3Connect the included AC adapter to the DC-IN connector of the drive with the arrow on the adapter plug facing left, as shown below.
