Remote Administrator Host

In general, only a user on your home network can use the setup program of the gateway. The remote administrator host feature enables you to perform administration tasks from a remote host, that is, a computer not a part of your home network.

To activate the remote administrator host feature, enter the IP address of the remote host in the Remote Administrator Host text box. If the IP address entered is 0.0.0.0, any host can connect to the gateway to perform administration tasks, provided the user knows the IP address of the gateway. Then, click the Enable check box that corresponds to Remote Administrator Host.

When this feature is enabled, the Web port will be shifted to 88.
