glossary of terms (for setup)
Stereo | Music with two separate channels, usually a left and right |
| channel. |
Mono | Music with only one channel. |
Crossover | An electronic device that separates high and low |
| frequencies and sends them to different outputs. The sepa- |
| rate signals are usually sent to a high out and a low out. |

The separation of high and low frequencies with a cross- | |
| over, using separate speakers and power amps for each. |
Full Range | Both high and low frequencies together in a single channel. |
Program | The signal that is plugged into the amplifier. |
Allows only the high frequencies to pass, blocking the low | |
| frequencies. |
|
|
Allows only the low frequencies to pass, blocking the high | |
| frequencies. |
Mid/High | The speaker designed to play everything but the low |
| frequencies. |
Sub | The speaker designed for low frequencies only. |
Parallel | Both speakers or inputs have the same signal. When |
| referring to speakers, this means plugging the second |
| speaker into the first speaker and so on. |
