6.2 Wireless Security

The Wireless Security section allows you to configure the EAP350's security modes: WEP, WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK, WPA- PSK Mixed, WPA, WPA2, and WPA Mixed. We strongly recommend you use WPA2-PSK.

Note: Only in Access Point and WDS AP mode.

WEP Encryption:

Authentication Type

Please ensure that your wireless clients use the same authentication type.

 

 

Key type

ASCII: Using characters from the ASCII standard (recommended)

 

HEX: Uses hexadecimal characters.

 

 

Key Length

The amount of bits the WEP key will use.

 

64 Bit - data is encrypted, using the default key, before being transmitted. You must enter

 

at least the default key. For 64 Bit Encryption, the key size is 10 chars in HEX (0~9 and A~F).
