11.3.1 Connection and disconnection

When you click the [Connect] button on the recorder list window and enter your user name and password on the login window, you will be connected to the selected digital recorder that is high- lighted in the list.

Enter the user name and password that have been registered in the digital recorder you want to access. In DX-TL2530E and DX-NT430E digital recorders, the default user name and password are as follows:

Administrator user

General user

User name: root

User name: guest

Password: admin000

Password: guest

By selecting another digital recorder and clicking the [Connect] button while you are communicat- ing with the selected recorder, you will be disconnected from the selected recorder and connected to such another recorder.

When you click the [Disconnect] command on the recorder list window, you will be disconnected from the digital recorder you are communicating with. This button doesn’t work unless you are communicating with a digital recorder.

11.3.2 Registration - Available on the recorder list window of detailed type only

When you click the [Add...] button on the recorder list window of detailed type, the [Recorder Property] window will appear. You can add digital recorders using this window.

[DVR Name] (optional) ------- Enter the name of the digital recorder to register.

[Camera Name] (optional) --- Enter the name of the camera (or installation location) to register.

[IP Address] (essential) ------ Enter the IP address of the digital recorder to register. When

registering a DX-TL2530E or DX-NT430E digital recorder, enter the IP address shown on its <ETHERNET> screen. DX-PC25EA commu- nicates with the digital recorder based on this number. If you enter a wrong number, DX-PC25EA doesn’t communicate correctly. In addi- tion, duplicate IP addresses aren’t accepted.

[Recorder Ch] (optional) ----- You can select a camera or saved screen layout to use at the time of

connection.

[Info Port No.] (essential) ---- Enter the information port number of the digital recorder to register.

This number should be consistent with the setting value of the digital recorder to be registered. When registering a DX-TL2530E or DX- NT430E digital recorder, enter the number shown by [USER AC- CESS] on the <SERVICE PORT SETTING> screen. The number “53705,” which is the initial setting of DX-TL2530E and DX-NT430E digital recorders, is displayed by default. DX-PC25EA communicates with the digital recorder based on this number. If you enter a wrong number, DX-PC25EA doesn’t communicate correctly.
