SCREEN SAVER

A television monitor screen may be burned out if a static picture is displayed for a long time. To prevent this, the unit automatically activates the screen saver function if a static picture, such as an on-screen display or menu, is displayed for over 5 minutes.

PRESS

KEY

• OFF

This is the normal setting for DTS-encoded discs.

Signals with the full frequency range are output from

all speakers when playing back a DTS-encoded disc.

This mode ignores all “Small” settings in the speaker

setting screen (All “Small” settings are regarded as

“Large”).

MODE 1

The current picture gets dark.

MODE 2

The “screen saver” picture appears and its brightness changes.

from the sub-woofer output is boosted up regardless

of the “Bass redirect setting” in the speaker setting

screen.

See page 62 for the speaker setting screen.

AUTO STANDBY

The screen saver function is off.

NOTES

• The monitor screen of a projector or projection TV is

easily burned out if a static picture is displayed for a

long time. Be careful not to allow the monitor screen to

be burned out when you set the SCREEN SAVER mode

to “OFF”.

• The TV screen may be garbled when you set the

SCREEN SAVER mode to “MODE 1”. In this case, set to

another mode.

When the unit is stopped for more than 30 minutes or 60 minutes, the unit enters standby mode automatically.
