Changing the language and sound

Some DVD VIDEO discs support more than one subtitle language and/or audio language/sound, while some DVD AUDIO discs support more than one audio language/ sound.

You can select the desired one from them.

Similarly, you can select audio channel(s) of a Video CD disc.

To select the subtitle language [SUBTITLE]

3 To select the desired subtitle language, use CURSOR 2/3.

3 Use CURSOR 2/3 or SUBTITLE to select the desired subtitle.

Each time you press CURSOR 2/3 or SUBTITLE, the subtitle changes.

NOTES

For DVD VIDEO, the selected language may be abbreviated on the TV screen. See “Appendix A: Table of languages and their abbreviations” at the end of this manual.

The Subtitle selection display will automatically disappear if you do not change the subtitle for several seconds.

To turn off the Subtitle selection display manually, press

ENTER.

To turn off the on-screen display:

Press ON SCREEN.

• When appears on the TV screen:

You cannot select the subtitle.
