Parental Lock

HD DVDs and DVDs equipped with a Parental Lock function includes predetermined limitation levels. The limitation level or limitation method may differ depending on the disc. For example the whole contents of a disc may not be played back, or an extreme violent scene may be cut or replaced automatically by another scene.

1.In STOP mode, press the SETUP button on the remote control.

2.Use the or button to select General, then press the OK button.

3.Use the or button to select Parental Lock, then press the OK button.

4.Enter a 4-digit password by using the number buttons, then press the OK button.

When you use the player for the first time, set a new 4-digit password. If you make a mistake entering your password, press the CLEAR button before pressing the OK button, and re-enter the correct password.
