Menu Screen/Mode Screen

. Using the Menu Screen

When you press the MENU button, the menu screen is called up. When you press the MENU button again, the unit returns to the normal screen.

Select the item you want by using the buttons to highlight its screen setting, then press the SHIFT> button to move to the selected screen.

When AU position is selected, or during playback or recording, the CHANNEL PRESET and AMS screen cannot be selected. This message will appear, and the normal TV screen will be restored.

On Screen Display (OSD)

You can display the on-screen information which tells you the tape operation mode, the channel selected, the recording speed, the tape count, or the time.

To call up the on-screen information, press the OSD button. All information is displayed. Press the button again to turn the display off.

Even if the VCR is in OSD off mode, the superimposed information will appear on the TV screen and multi- display for a few seconds when you press any tape operation button or when you select a channel. After a few seconds, it disappears from the screen. When OSD is on, the on-screen information remains on the screen
