Connecting an analog audio device

To connect an analog audio device:

Connect one end of an audio cable to the AUDIO IN L and R jacks on the audio device, then connect the other end of the cable to the AUDIO OUT jacks on the back of your TV.

Setting up for the first time

The first time you turn on your TV, a quick setup program starts that lets you select a language for the on-screen menu, select the TV signal source, and scan for available channels.

To set up your TV for the first time:

1Make sure that your TV is connected to an antenna, cable TV, or satellite TV.

2Press POWER. You may have to wait a few seconds for your TV to initialize. After your TV turns on, the Initial Setup screen opens.

AUDIO LINE OUT jack on the computer, then connect the other end of the cable to the PC-IN AUDIO jack on the back of your TV.

Turning your TV on or off

To turn your TV on or off:

When the scan is complete, the lowest channel in the channel list is displayed.

Notes:

The initial setup program only runs once for Air or Cable. If you change the TV signal source, you need to re-scan for channels. For more information, see “Scanning for channels” on page 12.

If you press POWER or MENU while your TV is scanning for channels, scanning will stop.

Press POWER.

Warning: When you press POWER to turn off your TV, your TV goes into Standby mode. It is still receiving electrical power. To completely disconnect power, unplug the power cord.

Note: When your TV does not receive a signal and you do not press any buttons for 15 minutes, your TV goes into Standby mode.
