The Remote Control

The Buttons on the Remote Control

The remote control contains buttons that are dual purpose depending on which function (TV or DVD) is being used. In addition, some of the DVD buttons can be hidden when the remote is being used for the TV function. Slide the bottom portion of the remote control downward to reveal additional DVD buttons.

Note: The red button labels are used for DVD features.

TV Function Buttons

Arrow Buttons for TV Menu System

MUTE Lowers the volume to the minimum level. Press again to restore volume to original level.

POWER Turns the TV/DVD on and off.

TV Puts the remote in TV mode.

(Press “TV ” button to activate TV function on remote control.)

INPUT Press “INPUT” button to select input source.

[TV (AIR/CABLE), AV1, DVD, AV3].

SLEEP Press to set the Sleep Timer. Repeatedly pressing the button advances the time in 10-minute increments up to 2 hours.

BROWSE Press the button twice to begin channel scan. Press again to select the current channel.

INFO Displays channel information. Press again to remove the information from the screen.

PIC Brings up picture presets.

CLEAR Removes a menu or display from the screen and returns you to TV viewing. For menus with digit inputs, pressing CLEAR will clear the last number entered.

0-9 (Number buttons) Use the number buttons to enter channel numbers. To enter a two-digit channel, press the two digits. To enter a three-digit channel, press and hold the first digit for two seconds until two dashes appear to the right of the number, then add the second two. Example: to tune a channel 123, press and hold 1 for two seconds, press 2, then press 3.

CCD Turns closed captioning on and off. When playing discs with closed captioning, press this button to set closed captioning to on or off.

GO BACK Returns to the previous channel. If you are in the menu system, GO BACK takes you to the previous menu screen.

MENU Displays the Picture menu, first menu of the TV on-screen menu system.

Arrow buttons (VOL/ and PROG. /) Press the arrow buttons to navigate through the on-screen menu system.

(Volume buttons) Decreases or increases the volume.

PROG.

(Channel buttons) Scans up or down through the

current channel list. Press once to change the channel; press and hold to continue changing channels.

NOTE: When in DVD mode, to switch back to TV mode, please press the "TV" button on the remote control,then press on the "INPUT" button and select TV.
