Recording from the radio

1Tune in to the desired station. (See page 21)

2Load a blank cassette.

3Press the RECORD button to start recording.

4Press the STOP/EJECT / button to stop recording.

When beat is heard

Beat (a high-pitched noise) may sometimes be heard during the re- cording of radio broadcasts. If this occurs, set the BEAT CANCEL switch (the rear of the unit) to 1 or 2 position to reduce the level of the beat noise.

Note:

If you hear a whistling noise whilst recording on AM station, move the AM loop aerial.

Erasing recorded tapes

1Load the tape to be erased into the cassette compartment with the side to be erased facing towards you.

2Press the TAPE button until "TAPE" appears on the dis- play. When operating with the remote control, press the TAPE button.

3Press the RECORD button, which also engages the PLAY button to begin erasing.
