Remote Control Television Operation

BUTTON

WHAT IT DOES

STANDBY

The remote control button is used to turn the television into Standby mode. When the television is in Stand-By it is possible to turn it back on by pressing this remote control Power Button, the Programme Number UP or DOWN Button (front panel or remote control) or any of the direct Programme Number Buttons.

PICTURE

This button is used to select the picture menu. Please refer to page 14 for detailed operating instructions.

SOUND

This button is used to select the sound menu. Please refer to page 15 for detailed operating instructions.

SET UP

This button is used to select the set up menu. Please refer to page 16 for detailed operating instructions.

RECALL

Pressing this button will display all current active functions. Pressing the button again cancels the recall function and removes the text being displayed on the screen. If the button is not pressed within about 2 seconds it automatically switches to display the Programme Number or theAV Number and the Off-Timer setting. Pressing the button again cancels the recall function and removes the text being displayed on the screen.

The recall button also allows you to change channel. The coloured buttons are used to select the channel range.

VCR - > 24

25 - > 49

50 - > 74

75 - > 99

Use the UP and DOWN buttons to highlight the channel you want and press the Blue button. The TV will switch to the selected channel. Use the Red and Green buttons to select a different range of channels.

DIRECT TV RECORD

Allows immediate recording of the programme currently on the screen. (This function only works with a “Q-Link” compatible video recorder. See page 17.

AMBIENCE

This button switches the ambience (surround sound) on and off.

ASPECT

This button is used to move through the different aspect options of AUTO, 16:9, 14:9, 4:3, Zoom 1, Zoom 2, Zoom 3. Please refer to page 19.

C (DIRECT CHANNEL SELECTION)

To directly access broadcast channel numbers, press the C Button followed by the two digits required (e.g. C02, C28 etc).
