MPAA Ratings

You can block TV channel viewing according to the Motion Picture Association ratings. To do so, follow these steps.

Before you begin, press SELECT to put the TV/DVD in TV mode.

1 Press SETUP.

2 Press or to select V-CHIP SET UP.

Then, press ENTER.

BV-CHIP SET UP LANGUAGE [ENGLISH] CAPTION [OFF]

3 Press the Number buttons to enter the four- digit access code. (The default code is 0000 if you have not set your own code yet.)

Then, press ENTER.

Press or to select the level at which you

want to block viewing. Then, press ENTER to

When you Block a category, higher ratings turn to

BLOCK automatically. Lower ratings turn to VIEW

automatically.

 

When you set G to VIEW or BLOCK, all ratings turn

to VIEW or BLOCK automatically.

There are no subratings for the MPAA ratings.

MPAA Rating Explanations

G - General Audience

PG - Parental Guidance suggested.

PG-13 - Unsuitable for children under 13

R - Restricted; under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian

NC-17 - No one under 17 admitted

X - Mature audience only
