NOTE:
It is not always possible for the DVD disc to display the picture as per your preferred picture setting - for example, if you select '4:3 Panscan', the disc may not offer this option. In this case the picture would display in whichever format the disc is capable of playing back.

You can select the aspect ratio of the picture.

You have the following screen sizes to choose from:
16:9 Wide screen
A wide screen picture is displayed full size, although the image on the screen may be geometrically distorted in this mode because the TV screen has an aspect ratio of 4:3 not 16:9. However it is possible to connect this set to an external widescreen (16:9) TV set via the SCART socket (see P.8).
4:3 Letterbox
When playing back a wide
4:3 Panscan
It displays the wide picture on the whole screen with left and right edges automatically cut off.
•If you want to return to the previous menu, press

Status on screen display
On screen display can be switched on or off when you press the buttons.
