TIMER RECORDING _____________________

Programming recordings by entering the data for the television programme

Notes:

You can store the television programme on a disc or in the HDD archive.

The time and date on the HDD DVD recorder must be accurate. If all the timer positions are occupied and you want to program a new recording you must delete one, as described in the sec- tion on deleting recording data on page 66.

Preparation

Switch on the television.

Select the »AV« channel on the television for the HDD DVD recorder.

Insert a DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-R or DVD-RW in the disc compart- ment.

When you switch on the HDD DVD recorder, the current pro- gramme that you can see on the television screen is recorded in the time shift memory.

3Activate the »Item editor« with »OK«.

– The »Item editor« menu appears.

4Select »Source« with »S« or »A« and press »OK« to confirm.

Select the TV channel with »S« or »A« and press »OK« to confirm.

Note:

If you want to record the video and audio signal from an exter- nal device instead of the TV channel, select »Front CVBS», »Rear CVBS«, »Rear S-VIDEO«, »EURO-AV«, »EURO-AV 2« or »EURO-AV 2 SV« as the input source by pressing »S« or »A«.

Recording from a satellite receiver:

If you want to record programmes from a connected satellite receiver, press S« or »A« to select the »EURO-AV 2« channel, and select the TV station on the satellite receiver. The satellite receiver must be switched on at the selected recording time and for the duration of the timer recording.
