1Switch on the television and select the preset channel for the HDD DVD recorder.

2Press »￿« to switch on the HDD DVD recorder from standby mode.

When you switch on the HDD DVD recorder, the current pro- gramme that you can see on the television screen is recorded in the time shift memory.

Note:

Please select the recording quality before starting the recording. See the section on custom settings and selecting the recording quality on page 96.

3Press »SOURCE« to select the input source (for example, TV).

Display: for example, »P1 ARD«, the current TV station is shown.

4Press »A« or »S« or use the numerical buttons »1…0« to select the TV channel or open the programme list with »OK«, press »A« or »S« to select the TV channel and switch off the programme list with »x«.

5Start recording on the HDD archive with »«.

Note:

The recording is continued in the background.

6Press »￿« on the HDD DVD recorder or press and hold down »7« on the remote control.

Put the disc in the disc compartment, with the label facing

upwards.

Press »￿« on the HDD DVD recorder or press and hold down »7« on the remote control.

7Press » « to switch to disc mode.

The index screen is displayed.

8Select the title by pressing »S« or »A«.

9Press »8« to start playback of the disc.

10Press »7« to end playback of the disc.

11Switch to recording mode with » « (blue).

12End recording on the HDD archive with »7«.

A message appears. Press »OK« to acknowledge.

You can see the data for the recording in the HDD archive.

Note:

If this message is not acknowledged, the HDD DVD recorder continues recording.
