1Switch on the television and select the preset channel for the HDD DVD recorder.

2Press »￿« to switch on the HDD DVD recorder from standby mode.

When you switch on the HDD DVD recorder, the current pro- gramme that you can see on the television screen is recorded in the time shift memory.

Note:

Please select the recording quality before starting the recording. See the section on custom settings and selecting the recording quality on page 96.

3Switch to disc mode with » « (blue).

A message appears. Press »OK« to acknowledge.

4Open the disc compartment, insert the disc with the label facing upwards and close it.

Display: The recording time and the amount of recording time still available.

5Press »SOURCE« to select the input source (for example, TV).

6Press »A« or »S« or use the numerical buttons »1…0« to select the TV channel or open the programme list with »OK«, press »A« or »S« to select the TV channel and switch off the programme list with »x«.

10Select the title by pressing »S« or »A«.

The thumbnail index of the selected recording is displayed in the contents table.

If this message is not acknowledged, the HDD DVD recorder continues recording on the disc.
