ANALOG - 5.1CH / 2CH
The ANALOG setting controls the DVD Player’s Analog Audio Outputs. These are the Stereo Audio and 5.1 Channel Outputs covered on pages 11, 13 & 15. Select 5.1CH if you are using the 5.1 Channel outputs to connect to a
DIGITAL - DOLBY / DTS / LPCM
Most DVDs are produced with Dolby or DTS 5.1 Channel soundtracks. So, normally this setting should be at the default of DOLBY/DTS. However, this setting can be set to LPCM to support DVDs featuring this type of audio format. LPCM, or Linear Pulse Code Modulation, is a stereo digital audio format typically used only with CD audio.

D.R.C - STANDARD / MAXIMUM / TV MODE
Sometimes called “midnight mode”, D.R.C (Dynamic Range Compression) aims to make watching a movie at low volumes more enjoyable by boosting the quieter sounds while suppressing the louder sounds. This reduction in the difference between the low and high audio levels is known as “compression”. You can adjust the level of this compression in three levels: MAXIMUM - Highest compression, STANDARD - Normal compression, and TV MODE - Optimized for smaller speakers.
