Note

ºFlexible recording mode (FR)

³The unit automatically selects a recording rate between “XP” and “EP” that will enable the timer recording to fit in the available re- cording time on the disc with the best possible recording quality.

³You can use the mode only with timer recording.

³It may not be possible to record to the finish of the program if the remaining time doesn’t allow.

³The remaining time displayed is calculated based on the current recording mode.

³Approximately 30 seconds at the beginning of subsequent pro- grams is not recorded when you used timer recording to record multiple programs to a DVD-R.

³Recording is not possible unless you set “Disc Protection” in “DISC SETTING” to “Off” (page 53). [RAM]

³You can not record to a disc if the disc is protected with the write- protect tab. Release this before operation (page 99). [RAM]

³Timer recording may not work as set when summer time switches to winter time and vice versa (page 88).
