Operating additional equipment

Converting the remote control in order to operate a Loewe DVD player or devices from other manufacturers

You can switch over the remote control for VCRs, DVD players and Set Top Boxes if the infrared code of the equipment type is listed in the code list or is in the code memory of the RC3. Switching over is done on the one hand by entering a four-digit code and on the other hand the remote control suggests codes which you can test on the equipment.

If you cannot find the equipment in the code list, try a suggestion from the remote control.

Even if the manufacturer of the equipment is included in the code list, it is possible that it cannot be operated. Not all functions on the RC3 are available for this equipment.

Switching over the remote control – with code input – e.g. to the Loewe DVD player Look for the code number of your equipment in the code list. The list is sorted according to equipment type Ð DVD, VCR, STB Ð and alpha- betically according to manufacturer. You will find one or more code numbers next to the manufac- turer name.

Twice after the last number.

If the number was incorrect, the display flashes for longer. The code number has not been accepted.

Once the code has been accepted with two flashes, you can test the functionality of the device you have just programmed.

If the device cannot be operated or is difficult to operate, repeat the code input with the next code from the list. If no other codes are specified for this manufacturer, try a code suggested by the remote control.
