Preparations

Confirm that the TV is on and the VCR viewing channel is selected.

Turn on the VCR.

Press [VCR/TV] to select the VCR mode.

Press [OSD/DISPLAY].

1L and R Indicators

2Indicator for STEREO and SAP Reception

When receiving a TV program, automatically indicates when a TV program is broadcast with the stereo and/ or AUDIO II (SAP) sound system.

At the every push of [AUDIO], the audio output mode changes as follows. During playback:

Stereo>L>R>Normal audio track >Stereo

While the broadcast signals are being received:

ON: The on screen display will appear on the TV screen for 5 seconds.

The on screen display will always appear on the TV screen during rewind and fast forward.

OFF: The on screen display will not appear.

5Press [MENU] twice to make the on screen display disappear.

The Left (L) and Right (R) indicators show which sound mode is selected as follows on the On Screen Display.

Stereo: Both the L and R indicators appear.

L:The L indicator appears.
