Safety

Important Notice

under by the Limited Warranty.

Installing

[] To prevent internal heat bnildnp do not block the ventilation openings.

[] Do not install the TV in a hot or humid

place or in a place snbject to excessive ctust or mechanical vibration.

[] Avoid operating the TV at temperatures below 5°((4Y'F).

[] If the TV is transported directly from a cold to a wam_ location, or if the room

temperamre changes suddenly, the picture may be blurred or show poor color clue to

moisture condensation. In this case, please wait a few hours to let the moisture

evaporate before turning on the TV.

[] To obtain the best picture, do not expose the screen to direct illnlnination or direct sunlight. It is recolnmended to use spot lighting directed down from the ceiling or to cover the windows that face the screen

with opaque drapery. It is desirable to install the TV in a room where the floor and

walls are not of a reflective material.

CAUTION

How to reduce the risk of"Image Retention" on your TV

\*lien using TV games, compmers and similar products with your TV. or viewing a TV station whose logo always stays on the screen, keep the brightness and contrast fnnctions at low settings.

Bright, stationary images such as TV station logos displayed on your TV can cause permanent damage to yottr TV, resulting in retention of the image in the picture. Please take the following steps to reduce the risk of causing image retention:

View a variety of program sonrces or progrannning material.

hnage retention can occur when bright stationary images such as TV station logos are viewed. (?hanging the program lnaterial viewed reduces the possibility that a single image will become imprinted on the picture tubes in your TV.

\_11en viewing programs with stational T images, adjust the picture setting to reduce the "Pictttre" and "Brighmess" levels. Image retention is accelerated by higher "Brightness" and higher "Picture" settings.

Please see page 59 for instructions on ac[iusting pictttre settings.

This will help you reduce the risk of causing image retention.
