Is -rv correctly tuned?

-rv cannot be operated by the VCR'sremote.

programmed for your TV?

Have video heads

cleaned by a qualified service technician.

Set -rv to channel 3 or 4.

Follow instructions in Advanced Operations to program the remote to send signals that your -rv can recognize.

Mechanical sounds during the STOP mode.

Is remote control set to control the -rv?

Has a loaded cassette

been stopped more than 5 minutes?

Press the -rv device

button, then press the button corresponding to the -rv function you want.

Nothing is wrong, the tape protection mechanism is

working. Eject the cassette when you are done viewing.
