NICAM Stereo and Bilingual Broadcasts

This VCR is equipped with a digital stereo sound decoder (NICAM) which makes the reception of stereo and bilingual broadcasts possible.

get to the main menu Press MENU. Select the icon NIC using the *and Tbuttons and press OK.

select mode Select the desired mode using the ^and &buttons and press T.

AUTO: The VCR detect NICAM broadcasts automatically.

OFF: The VCR does not detect NICAM broadcasts.

select stereo Set AUDIO to STEREO. (☞ below, Soundtrack Selection)

select bilingual Set AUDIO to LEFT or RIGHT. (☞ below, Soundtrack Selection)

select standard To listen to standard monaural audio during a NICAM broadcast, set AUDIO to MONO. (☞ below, Soundtrack Selection)

Soundtrack Selection

This VCR is capable of recording four soundtracks and will play back the one that you select. Set AUDIO to the appropriate mode.

get to the main menu Press MENU. Select the icon AUDIO using the *and Tbuttons and press OK.

select sound track Select the desired mode using the ^and &buttons and press T.

STEREO: For Hi-Fi stereo tapes.

LEFT: For main audio of Bilingual tapes.

RIGHT: For sub audio of Bilingual tapes.

MONO: For audio-dubbed tapes.
